The Backyarders, Sad Sad Tim & The Public Servants!

Music • Rock
South Australia • World Premiere

The Backyarders are back after three sold out Fringe seasons.

The musical equivalent of a sausage on bread at your local hardware store, The Backyarders' high-energy folk/rock meets Sad Sad Tim’s exuberant story-telling and The Public Servants' punk attitude to produce two very special shows as Aussie as Vegemite.

Wednesday: The Backyarders + The Public Servants - Adelaide's premier public servant-themed novelty band with equal measures of humour, harmonies and happiness.

Thursday: The Backyarders + Sad Sad Tim & The Brand New Variants - a refreshingly fun Adelaide musical group bringing to life the surprisingly jubilant music of the eponymous singer-songwriter.

Be prepared for chooks, fairy bread, flexitime, hills hoists, very specific directions to Glenelg and burnouts in a government car!

Presented by: The Backyarders

The Backyarders are an Adelaide based fun-time band. The musical equivalent of a sausage on bread at your local hardware store, The Backyarders are the epitome of Australian Backyard culture. Delivering a high-energy performance laced with accordion, violin and gang vocals; contemporary folk, punk and rock meet traditional songs from around the world.
Formed in late 2019, this super group of Adelaide musicians: Doug Clark - Vocals & Guitar (Emergency Rule), Pearl Tassell - Accordion (Soursob Bob), Dylby McCullough - Bass & Vocals (Pimpin' Horus), Sarah O'Brien - Violin (The Timbers), and Lachlan Stopa - Drums (Brutaliate) burst onto the scene with a sold out show at the Adelaide Fringe in 2020. As Aussie as vegemite, be prepared for hill hoists, fairy bread, and a bloody good time!
