Are you looking to become an arts volunteer or festival volunteer in South Australia? Well look no further - Adelaide Fringe volunteers are an incredibly important part of our festival and we’d love for you to join us!
Both leading up to and during Adelaide Fringe season, our 150 plus cohort of incredible and diverse volunteers work closely with the Fringe team to deliver key projects. These include helping at unique Fringe events, assisting people in navigating the program, and supporting all Fringe-goers in having the best time possible.
Volunteer registrations for 2025 are now open! Registrations close on Wednesday 4 December.

Volunteer Recruitment Process
Application Submission
Between late November and early December, volunteers can submit applications through Be Collective, our volunteer management portal.
Initial Contact
All volunteers will be contacted by our Volunteer Management Team to discuss the roles available and answer any questions you may have about volunteering.
Application Results
Volunteers are informed about the results of their applications in late December.
Volunteer Induction & Trainings
All volunteers attend the induction session and undergo necessary training sessions.

What you can expect as a volunteer:
Festival volunteers will typically do a variety of roles within one of the following areas:
- Pre-Season
- Info Booth
- Events and Hospitality
- Marketing and Promotion
- Venue Assistance.
We provide training to all of our volunteers through our Access and Community Partners and in line with our Reconciliation Action Plan, Sustainability Action Plan and Disability Access and Inclusion Plan. These include training in cultural awareness and understanding, accessibility, and customer service.
Adelaide Fringe offers a flexible and interesting volunteering opportunity with shifts available on weekdays and weekends, both day and night, and can fit around study, work or other commitments.

Volunteers need to be:
- Aged 18 and above
- Happy to embrace Adelaide Fringe's values
- Available to work 15+ hours across the volunteer season
- Flexible and reliable with a sense of fun
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Available to attend the Volunteer Induction and any other necessary training required for their role.
