Adelaide Fringe volunteers are the heart and soul of our festival—and we’d love for you to be part of it.
In the lead-up to and during the festival season, our amazing team of over 150 passionate and diverse volunteers work hand-in-hand with the Fringe team to bring the magic to life. Whether it’s supporting one-of-a-kind events, helping visitors navigate the Fringe program, or ensuring every festival-goer has an unforgettable experience, our volunteers make it all happen.

Volunteer Recruitment Process
Step 1: Application Submission
Applications open on Wednesday 5 November and can be submitted via Be Collective, our official volunteer management portal.

Step 2: Application Review & Acceptance
Applications will be assessed in two to three rounds. If you're successful, you’ll receive an offer and will have 5 days to confirm your spot on the volunteer team.

Step 3: Induction & Training
All confirmed volunteers will receive an onboarding pack and must attend an induction session, along with completing any required training prior to the festival.

- Induction: 23 January 2026 (required for all volunteers, online option available)
- Human Guide Training: Multiple in-person sessions available in January and February (required for new volunteers)
- Disability Awareness Training: Online module (required for new volunteers)
- Cultural Awareness Training: First week of February (required for new volunteers, online option available)
- Traffic Marshal Training: First week of February (optional training)
For training purposes, 'new volunteers' refers to anyone who did not volunteer or participate in training in 2025.
We provide training to all of our volunteers through our Access and Community Partners and in line with our Reconciliation Action Plan, Sustainability Action Plan and Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.

Volunteer Eligibility
To be part of the Adelaide Fringe volunteer team, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Commit to a minimum of 15 volunteer hours during the season (excluding induction/training)
- Be flexible, reliable, and ready to work both independently and as part of a team
- Attend the mandatory volunteer induction and all required training sessions
- Be willing to embrace and uphold the Adelaide Fringe values.
What You Can Expect as a Volunteer
As an Adelaide Fringe volunteer, you’ll have the chance to get involved across a wide range of venues both in the CBD and surrounding areas. You'll take on diverse and exciting roles, including:

- Front of House Support
- Ticket Scanning
- Wayfinding & Information Sharing
