Tea and Scones with MAVIS.

Comedy • Stand Up
World Premiere

Your long lost relative Mavis has flown the cuckoo's nest and is on her way to you.
Weaving rapid fire one liners into jokes and real life stories, this portly, middle aged UK visitor reveals all her "fur balls". Rarely feeling herself at family functions, because she was told it is inappropriate, she travels to you for scones, laughs and heartburn.
Bring your Mum and her friends to afternoon tea with Mavis and enjoy laughing until your belly and jaws ache.
Suitable for anyone with a sense of humour and the ability to withstand a torrent of comedy!
Tickets INCLUDE home made scones hot from the oven and a tea or coffee.

Presented by: Louise Lawson

Mavis is the most recent comedic offspring of the mind of Louise Lawson. Joining the kleptomaniac French maid Cecile, and the spoonerisms crazed Gairy Fodmother from hell, Mavis brings a stand up comic to the family.
Along with the hilarious ebook series ‘Brothbone and McSmelly’ for adults who never grew up. This new character continues the tradition of puns, one liners and improbable situations.
Always looking for ways to make people laugh, Louise takes language and playfully distorts it for her own enjoyment and presents it to others.
As a member of the LGBTIQ community in Adelaide, and partner of Cabaret performer Georgia Darcy, Louise writes and performs comedy in a wide range of genre.
Tea and Scones with Mavis is a “torrent of comedy”.
