Electric Dreams: VR Cinema - Art of Sport

• Virtual Reality
International
Experience two starkly different virtual reality meditations on sport and boyhood. Join a metaphysical game of cricket where masculinity and angst dominate. Then follow a young Maori rugby player as he journeys back to his roots to find the meaning of the Haka.

In 'Summation of Force' two brothers are playing a mythical game of cricket one moonlit night, which develops into a fascinating study of movements, psychology and elite sports physics. An incredibly beautiful and surreal piece of Virtual Reality art, and a stylistic exercise that continues to surprise us in its exploration of the medium's narrative possibilities.

In 'Finding Haka' come face to face with the terrifying war dance, but also discover its importance as a symbol of survival and community for a young Maori man.br>

Please note:  This event has had a venue change from 'Event Space at Lot Fourteen' to 'Great Hall at Electric Dreams @ Masonic Lodge' since the Adelaide Fringe Guide was printed.
