What is jazz? One of Adelaide's hottest six-piece jazz bands will take on the question, belting out swinging tunes and delving into the history of jazz and what it's all about. Expect references to the greats, from the Duke to Miles and beyond. Learn handy new words to impress your friends, like cookin' with gas, swingin', cool and bebop.
The Groovediggers are led by Keith Conlon and Kerin Bailey.
Keith has been 'hitting things up the back' on drums in top Dixieland & mainstream bands for decades in Adelaide, and still makes an annual appearance in the Christmas Pageant Jazz Band.
Kerin is a mean keyboard player, renowned jazz composer, international publisher & teacher. Joining them are Declan Horan, Bob Jeffery, Chris Weber, & Bob Johnson.
They have a helluva good time playing together.

An all-star frontline completes The Groovediggers. Sax player Bob Jeffery moved
from rock’n’roll with the Penny Rockets to become one of the best modern jazz
players the city has ever heard.
Trumpeter Chris Weber spans jazz styles expertly and effortlessly. Trombone
player Bob Johnson is back home after a career playing behind the greats. Try
