Adelaide Fringe Festival audiences will be hard pressed to not find something appealing in a cabaret line up by Music Theatre students from Adelaide’s own Elder Conservatorium. Each performance will have its own spectacular theme. While several shows will feature numbers outlining such dichotomies as Love and Hate, Home and Away, Now and Then, Guilty Pleasures, others will focus on gender manipulation and even a good old singalong.

The 2022 Fringe Festival will coincide with the graduation of the first cohort of music theatre students from Elder Conservatorium.

Come along to see the hottest new Australian talent making their start here in South Australia.

The ECMTA is a student-run organisation that fundraises for the graduation showcase of the outgoing third year students in the Bachelor of Music Theatre degree. Through events such as cabaret nights, dance classes, paint nights, sausage sizzles, bake sales, and pub crawls, ECMTA is proud to cater for the interests of the Bachelor of Music Theatre students in their study, social activities, welfare and future careers. ECMTA was established in 2019 by the first intake of students in the University of Adelaide’s very first musical theatre course at the Elder Conservatorium. Going into our fourth year of operation, we are excited to be extending our list of fundraising events, beginning with our very own Fringe Festival show, featuring our first and second year students as well as alumni.
