Peter Baecker, born 1973 in Innsbruck, Austria.
 Lives and works in Vienna and Sydney.
Performance Artist, DJ and Dancer.
Creating shows, events, happenings and experiences worldwide.

Peter Baecker’s Art originates in the 80’s, especially their pop-music.
But never in a retrospective way, but creating Identity and being his power source.

He describes himself as „born 1973, but made by the 80’s“.

„I grew up in Austria, with my mother’s kitchen-radio always blasting the hits. 1980 I was 7 years old. At this age you are very open to your environment and also begin to strengthen your own personality.“

Peter Baecker sees himself working in the tradition of the Fluxus movement, which „understand the work as a site of interaction between artist and audience“ (John Cage).
