Adelaide Fringe Celebrates its 2025 Award Winners
Sun, Mar 23 2025
Adelaide Fringe has officially wrapped up its 2025 season, celebrating the achievements of 51 exceptional shows at this year’s Adelaide Fringe Awards. Recognising the bold creativity, artistic excellence, and boundary-pushing performances that define the festival, the awards shine a spotlight on the standout talent of this year’s program.

The final awards ceremony took place on Sunday 23 March at The Piccadilly, marking the culmination of another dynamic Fringe season. Judged by an esteemed panel of arts industry professionals and cultural leaders, the awards honour the artists and shows that have not only captivated audiences but have set new creative benchmarks.
The Adelaide Fringe Awards are renowned for their role in elevating artists, with winners receiving monetary prizes, mentorship opportunities, and pathways to national and international touring. This year’s recipients have delivered unforgettable experiences, earning well-deserved recognition for their contributions to the festival.
South Australian artists continue to be at the heart of Fringe, with more than half of this year’s awards going to local talent; and 45% of the awarded shows were supported by the Adelaide Fringe Fund. Across all categories, a total prize pool of more than $260,000 in cash and in-kind opportunities has been distributed to artists.
As Australia’s biggest arts festival, Adelaide Fringe has once again drawn enormous audiences in 2025, exceeding one million ticket sales for the third year in a row. The festival is estimated to have attracted more than 60,000 visitors from interstate and overseas, reinforcing its cultural and economic impact on South Australia.
CEO and Director of Adelaide Fringe, Heather Croall AM, said: "Adelaide Fringe continues to be a platform for artistic innovation, and this year’s award winners have truly embodied the passion, diversity, and creative spirit that make Fringe so special. Their work has inspired, challenged, and entertained audiences, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate their achievements. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners—your talent is what makes Adelaide Fringe the internationally recognised festival it is today."
