Silver-clay: A Jewellery Making Experience
Join artist Shirley Wu for a series of hand-on silver-clay jewellery making workshops.
Explore four unique sessions:
FEB 21-23 & MAR 21-23: Organic Ring with Stone – Craft personalised silver rings, setting heat-resistant stones like cubic zirconia. Learn moulding, firing, and polishing techniques.
FEB 28-MAR 2: Silver Origami Jewellery – Combine origami and silver-clay to create intricate wearable art.
MAR 7-9: Hollow Style Pendant – Make hollow pendants or Pandora-style beads using silver-clay and wood clay.
MAR 14-16: Casting Nature into Jewellery – Cast found objects (leaves, shells, bark) into bespoke silver jewellery pieces.
All workshops are beginner-friendly. Your piece will be then fired and polished at Shirley’s CBD studio and will be ready to pick up within 3-5 working days.
Bring reading glasses for delicate work. To make a ring for someone, bring one of their rings for sizing. You can bring found objects (<2.5cm) casting session—some will be provided. Add-on: Extra 5g of silver-clay ($20) available for larger pieces

Shirley Wu is an Adelaide-based multidisciplinary artist specialising in jewellery-making, glass art, and performance art. With over four years of experience working with glass, metal, and silver-clay, she brings deep craftsmanship and creative expertise. For the past three years, she has guided participants of all skill levels through creating personalised jewellery art. Shirley’s teaching style is fun and clear, taking participants step by step through each process. Her workshops focus on hands-on learning, leaving participants with both a stunning jewellery piece and knowledge of silver-clay techniques in a supportive environment.
