Black Girl Rising

Black Girl Rising is a mind-blowing one woman show about the hidden health effects of racism.

Told through a mash up of stand-up comedy, theatrical story telling and spoken word poetry backed by hand drawn animation, this show will explode stereotypes with laughs, tears and everything in between.

With plenty of audience engagement and no white privilege to hide behind if you don’t see this show yourself, you’ll definitely hear about it.

Black Girl Rising was awarded ‘Best New Work by an Emerging Artist’ at the 2024 Melbourne Fringe Festival.

“An engrossing, informative, kick-ass piece told by a fantastic performer.”

“A brilliant show… It is poignant, funny, provocative and vital theatre.”

“Bold, confident, important…You will not be disappointed.”
