From jaw-dropping card tricks and moving sketches to sleight of hand and shapeshifting props, these magicians will leave you wanting more magic and more drinks. Wowing audiences with close-up magic and side-tickling comedy, Maho Magic Bar is a cultural experience showcasing world-class tricks and expert sleight of hand. Fringe-goers are invited into the mystery of the stunningly decorated magic bar, bringing a little taste of Japan to the heart of The Garden of Unearthly Delights. Once through the doors, you are sure to laugh, drink, and be floored by the amazing tricks from the performers. Each magician has their own set of tricks and performances, rotating around the bar for a truly immersive experience. The handsome Shirayuri is a masterful mixologist of mischief, using drinks and mystical concoctions to wow audience members. The playful Santa Terakado is a conjurer of magical creatures, using fun and furry animals to perform close-up tricks that are sure to leave you scratching your head. Finally, we have Kaori Kitazawa, the beautiful kawaii princess of illusion, whose masterful origami and card magic is sure to send anyone in a spin. Though each magician is brilliant in their own mystical ways, a highlight for the show was definitely the dare-devilish Sarito, recognised as one of "the craziest magicians in Japan". With a dangerous look in his eyes and a cheeky grin, Sarito performed card tricks that are unparalleled across the Fringe. Together, all magicians and mixologists ensure a brilliant night out, with fun games and delectable drinks. Audience participation is key to getting the most out of the experience, so be sure to bring a friend and prepare to be amazed! A resounding message featured at the end of the show was to cherish the connection we share with people, whether this is between family, friends, or fellow Fringe-goers. Sho Eba, debonaire ringmaster extraordinaire, vocalises the core moral of the act at the end of the show, encouraging audiences to not only believe in magic but in each other. Bring your friends and family for an hour of high spirits and mischievous sorcery at Maho Magic Bar!
