Yozi: No Babies In The Sauna
08 March 2024 - Andrew G.An absurdist sketch comedy with a loose narrative and a brilliant punchline, this has the best use of towels in comedy since Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Very silly, very fun. -
SÉANCE
02 March 2024 - Andrew G.If you're a fan of movies like Paranormal Activity, you will likely enjoy this. An immersive horror experience that happens in pitch darkness. Great use of directional sound! -
INFERNO
02 March 2024 - Andrew G.A very hot (literally) circus show where all the acts involve fire. This is not a gimmick though, as all the performers would still astound even without the dancing flames. Very saucy, very entertaining. -
George Glass' Scientology The Musical
02 March 2024 - Andrew G.A funk-rock satire of scientology. Doesn't pull any punches (especially regarding the founder of the so-called religion) and goes in some very bizarre directions. If you like your humour twisted, this is recommended. You may even learn a few things! But mostly be entertained. -
Werewolves
02 March 2024 - Andrew G.A professionally run game of the social deduction classic Werewolves, try to survive as a human or kill them all as a werewolf. Even if you get knocked out early, it's fun watching the chaos unfold... especially when friends and family betray each other! -
Lost in Translation
02 March 2024 - Andrew G.Performers re-enact a movie... that's been through a machine translator multiple times, making it hilarious nonsense. Guaranteed to be a good time if you see it on a night where they do a movie you enjoy (the schedule is on the event page). -
George Glass' Bradbury The Musical
22 February 2024 - Andrew G.This is a musical comedy loosely based on the life of Steven Bradbury, and we mean loosely. For example, one of his first encounters is with Tonya Harding who suggests lots of ideas involving the breaking of legs. If there is one thing I can guarantee, there is no way you'll predict where this show ends up going because it winds up in disturbing, twisted places. If you want a gloriously deranged rock musical with fun songs about an Australian icon, this is definitely one to see. -
London Calling
22 February 2024 - Andrew G.Hosted by the charismatic Paul Dabek, this variety show consists of circus, comedy, magic, and... well, some acts which simply defy definition. Each performance has a fun London/English theme, bringing a lot of quirkiness with it. Fast-paced and energetic, this was simply some of the must fun we've had at the 2024 Fringe so far! -
Dizney in Drag: Once Upon a Parody
22 February 2024 - Andrew G.If you thought this would just be drag performers lip-syncing to Disney songs, think again because this show is so much more. All the songs are original hilarious parodies, turning tunes from our childhoods on their heads. What if all the doodads the little mermaid found were sex toys, for example? All the performances are tied together with a fun narrative. This is a full on musical comedy that's incredibly entertaining, and highly recommended! -
Wonderfully Terrible Things
22 February 2024 - Andrew G.As soon as Wonderfully Terrible Things begins, Cirque Songstress unveils her two biggest assets: her powerful voice, and her fantastic song writing ability. She is full of sharp, piercing wit and kept us laughing and mesmerised, though she's not for the faint of heart. It's not all songs, though! She's also a fantastic aerial artist, hence her name. What's even more impressive is that she effortlessly continues to sing while flying through the air. Fantastic show!
