Shakespeare's classic comedy follows a rollercoaster ride of scandal, love, and hearsay. The story centres on the courtship of two young lovers, Hero and Claudio, who are set to be married at her mother's resort. However it's Hero's cousin Beatrice and Claudio's friend Benedict whose witty sparring matches frequent the stage, along with the thoughts of the resort residents who plan to trick the two enemies into falling in love. Meanwhile, the power hungry Don Jon plots to ruin the wedding by planting seeds in Claudio's mind that Hero has been unfaithful. However, the crisis is averted when Hero's name is cleared, resulting in a celebratory wedding... or two. Reimagined in an early 00s Australian Summer, this adaptation shows audiences that perhaps friendship is constant in all things.
