Wildlife of the Fleurieu

Emerging artist Chris Schulze explores the wildlife commonly found around the Fleurieu Peninsula, searching for the extraordinary in the ordinary.

This exhibition showcases a series of watercolour paintings based on wildlife Chris has discovered during his time spent around the peninsula.

Chris Schulze is a recent UniSA, Product Design Graduate, earning the Program Directors Award for High Performance in Design Practice. Born and raised in Adelaide, he has a passion for creating and making things in many different forms, mediums and methods. He has a keen interest in nature, particularly animals, and hopes to inspire others to consider their relationship with the natural world.
After leaving school Chris obtained a Certificate in Visual Arts, then pursued a career in hospitality for the next 20 years. In 2015 he returned to tertiary studies, gaining a Bachelor in Product Design and has since been on a mission to explore his creative style. In 2017 he won the Glarce Academy sunglass competition, and was awarded the 2020 SA/NT DIA Product Design Graduate of the Year.
