Voices
Voices is a modern re-imagining of Louisa-May Alcott’s Little Women together with an exploration of some of the darker aspects of Alcott’s life. The Alcott’s are famously known as a progressive family committed to the abolition of slavery, the equality of women, the care of refugees, and to the improvement of their spiritual selves. The characters, love, laughter and belief in family that defines Little Women are still present, but Voices reveals a darker story about the need for courage in facing both the challenges of life and the truths of the past. Voices is also an exploration of how story captures imagination and shapes our understanding of the world.
