Vida Slayman in Comedy of Terrors

Comedy
South Australia • World Premiere

After fleeing the danger of two wars and the drudgery of 90’s Adelaide, Vida Slayman thought she was prepared for anything life could throw at her. But then she faced a battle she couldn’t flee – motherhood. Spanning ‘funny ha-ha’ & ‘funny hm-hm’ stories from Beirut, San Francisco, Budapest and Dubai, Comedy of Terrors is an uplifting reminder that no matter how bad things may be, if you’ve got kids, they can always get worse.

Vida Slayman is a Raw Comedy State Finalist. No Man’s Land, her first show for the Adelaide Fringe in 2022, was performed with other finalists and earned them a 4.5* review. This year, Netflix has already been in touch. Apparently, she needs to update her password.

Vida Slayman turned to comedy when she realised her life was a joke. She’s lived and worked in seven different countries, fled two wars and won two ten-dollar scratchies. In her free time she enjoys cultivating yeast and browsing the middle aisles at Aldi. She has invested in a husband and children to absolve her from total failure in case the career thing doesn’t work out.
