January 2018: Gyni, Tyson and Theo, best friends since they were 10 years old, have reached a point in their friendship where something is ready to give. Opinions amongst their peers are running hot and the gendered roles these three have accepted until now could prove to be their undoing. The nurturer, the gentleman, the toxic male – not all of them can survive when the moon is at her closest. ‘Under the Blue Blood Moon’ explores the impact that socially-constructed gender roles have on modern youth culture. Most particularly in reaction to the fourth-wave feminism surge that took place during the 2017 #MeToo movement.
