The Loneliest Woman

Theatre and Physical Theatre • Spoken Word
South Australia
With her husband missing on his 1931 submarine expedition to the North Pole, Lady Suzanne Wilkins faces uncomfortable truths about her future as the wife of a famous explorer. Are the loneliness, sacrifices and heartache really worth it? Her problems are compounded by the visit to her New York apartment of her husband's expedition's sponsor, William Randolph Hearst, the newspaper magnate. Drawing heavily on Lady Wilkins's own writings and song lyrics The Loneliest Woman tells the story of strength discovered in the face of adversity. Another brilliant Australian drama from Peter Maddern (Kokoda, Hardy - Hero of the Hills etc).
