Stranded in DEEP SPACE when their ship's computer updates itself into obsolescence, the crew attempt to pass the time and bolster morale by sharing tales of woe and whimsy, all the while a greater mystery unwinds amongst them. It's 'Black Mirror' meets 'Skithouse' from the writing team behind the AWARD WINNING 'Huge News'; Kyron Weetra and Josh Mensch!

Collaborating with local digital artists and 3-D animators, using motion capture technology to create live animation performances to surprise and delight audiences, showcasing what is possible with modern performance.

Sketch comedy at it's conceptual finest; a sci-fi anthology nested inside a classic shipwreck tale, set in a galaxy hopping vessel in the year 2121. If you're looking for fast paced, smart and silly theatre, you've found it!

Cackling Jackal is a young experimental creative collective, based on Kaurna Land. We create new and original work, that we have presented both locally and internationally. Over the past 3 years we have produced theatre for children, music, a live comedy podcast, and live variety nights featuring cabaret, comedy, and circus artists. Our signature style is silly and sincere, featuring work by artists who are First Nations, queer, & disabled making work about the things we’re interested in, including the frivolous and the thoughtful. Our current goal is to create boundary busting art, using digital innovations to make weird and wonderful theatre. Our most recent work, at Fringe 2020, 'Josh Mensch: Abomination' received a 5 STAR ★★★★★ review from Mindshare.org.
