The DOs and DON'Ts of Doing It
Welcome to the DOs and DON'Ts of Doing It!
After coming out, Thomas discovers the idiosyncrasies of the homosexual community, and frequently finds himself between rock and a euphemistically hard place. Balancing his pelvic floor dysfunction and desire to find a long-term partner, Thomas struggles to find his footing within the community, leading to humorously questioning the worth or sacrifice of belonging.
Based on real-life events, the play blends the frivolity and playfulness of a game show with important conversations about sexual dysfunctions, internalised homophobia, and the sexual expectations of the community. This show is a necessity for those who believe that true sex positivity considers and includes those who sometimes, or always, choose not to express themselves sexually.
