The Divine Loveys

Music • Cabaret
New South Wales

Presented by: The Loveys

‘The Divine Loveys’ is The Loveys new festival show: short, sharp and wickedly funny. The Loveys explore the very stuff of everyday life - from divorce, dementia, death and sex to the ordinary and courageous business of love itself. The Loveys create a sound with shades of palm-fronded bandstands of old and the elegantly sliced wit of the thoroughly modern woman. Expect beautiful original songs and harmonies combined with mad, spontaneous humour. With outfits ranging from op shop chic to top shelf sequins, Jenny, Janet, Belinda and Pamela bring elegance, sharp observations and moments of unexpected soul.

“With attitude to burn, these four sassy songstresses deliver a cabaret- style act that will delight and engage you as they sing about what really matters!”

Presented by: The Loveys

The Loveys, three teachers and a dental nurse are an Australian grown-up girl band.
Starting their career on the streets in 2014, busking in front of the Mullumbimby supermarket, they have built a loyal following across the region and further afield.
The award winning group has played at most of the major festivals in Australia, including Woodford, Bello, Nanga and Nannup in W.A, Blue Mountains Folk Festival as well as sell out concerts in their home of Byron Shire. Great musicians, songwriters and performers, The Loveys demand to be heard as they create a music genre that is both new and as old as time - heroic women, rocking out and telling it like it is.
