The Dark Side of Parkside - An elegant looking old fashioned journal with an ornate cover of lace and metal filigree on the corners. It is lying on a surface decorated with small pink flowers.

The Dark Side of Parkside

Theatre and Physical Theatre • Theatre
South Australia • World Premiere

Following our previous sell-out walking tours through Kensington ("Intriguing from go to woe" Adelaide Now) and Bowden ("a twist on the usual historical exploration" The Adelaide Show), join us this year for a walk through historic Parkside with not one ghost host, but two! Learn about some of Parkside's darker past, including police chases, shootings, the Parkside Asylum, and a tragedy and scandal that feels all too resonant today, in this must-see for history lovers. Written and researched by Shannon Norfolk.

The walk starts on the footpath outside the Baptist Church at 100 Young Street and loops back at the end. The total distance is about 1.1 km with several stops. We walk rain or shine - ghosts aren't bothered by weather! Due to the nature of the event, tickets are strictly limited.

Presented by: Oily Rag Theatre

Oily Rag Theatre is a small scale small budget theatre group run by Kristin Telfer and Shannon Norfolk. This will be the third history walking tour by Shannon we have presented in the Adelaide Fringe.
