The BordererS 30th Anniversary & Final Bow!
Were you there at the beginning in 1994 when the BordererS used to jam in the front bar of the Gov? Did you see their 1st ever live festival performance which was at the Victor Harbor folk festival? Has the band contributed to some of the best nights of your lives? If so, then Jim and Alex would love you to join them for one last gig. This may very well be your best afternoon of the whole Fringe, as you'll be entertained by special surprise guests, dancers, comedians and some of the cast from Les Darcy the Musical. The original lineups of the band will be onstage to make sure that you hear all of your favourite BordererS songs. The 30 years have gone by so fast, but the band couldn't have done it without all of your support. Many of you have become dear friends and they'll certainly miss you.
Food/drink will be available to purchase at the venue.
Presented by: Celtic Records
Celtic Records was setup in 1997 by the band and Willie McInnes, and it's gone on to promote thousands of shows and produce 12 cd's for the BordererS generating more than 100,000 cd sales. Celtic Records has also produced albums for the kids act Ticklish Allsorts, and helped organise festival appearances for both acts all over the world. Celtic Records are behind the latest adventure by Jim & Alex which is the world of movies. Their musical the Ballad of Les Darcy has a major Hollywood director and writer behind it, and they hope to have it released in 2025
The band would love it if you wear some tartan to the event. If you don't have tartan, then the BordererS will have 30th anniversary tartan scarves to purchase on the day. It'll be like you're at a Bay City Rollers concert. Ha, ha!
