The Art of Being Human

Community Events • Music
South Australia
'The Art of Being Human' is an annual Adelaide Fringe event giving artists and emerging artists experiencing homelessness or vulnerability a platform to display and perform their art. In 2020 we are exploring the art and healing power of music and having a voice through song. Join us for our concert in Whitmore Square. Please note that this event has been changed to a free non-ticketed event since being printed in the Adelaide Fringe guide.

Presented by: Serafina & Morgana

Serafina resides in Adelaide CBD where she has many conversations and connections with people experiencing homelessness. She sees the daily struggles people go through, yet amidst it all there is beauty and resilience. Serafina created 'The Art of Being Human' in 2018 as a platform and opportunity for those experiencing homelessness to be recognised, valued and respected as artists, helping in the healing process and a pathway back to independence.

Morgana volunteers at Baptist Care SA’s Community Food Hub, she shares Serafina’s passion and purpose to give voice, value and meaning to those experiencing homelessness and when the two met, a wonderful partnership was formed. Morgana inspired the changing theme each year, knowing there is no limit to art or what it means to be human.
