The Ark - A black and white image of a small stack of books that have been set on fire.

The Ark

Theatre and Physical Theatre • Comedy
South Australia • World Premiere

This creative development by Raucous Behaviour, supported by the Adelaide Fringe Fund, brings together some of South Australia's brightest artists to present a brand new and exciting play that examines the purpose stories serve in a crisis.

Set in the not-so-distant future where inaction on climate change is causing massive ecological shifts in Australia, fires are raging, and snow is falling in places it never has before. The public library of a tiny rural town provides the only available shelter to residents who have chosen to stay and wait out the apocalyptic snowstorm that batters their town. A dysfunctional group of strangers find themselves forced to work together in order to survive. What will alter their lives more: the storm, or each other?
