Rock N Roll Orgy

Music • Cabaret

This year we welcome our new host MC/performer The Camp Cowboy Preacher who will sing The Songs of Tom Smith and welcome us into the sexually charged atmosphere of a Tent Revival Meeting. Do the freaks, queers and outcasts have a place in a night of hilllbilly music, speaking in tongues, snake handling and fire and brimstone preaching?

Exploring sexual identity and maintaining meaningful connections is a delicate balance and an ongoing journey. Come with the Songs of Tom Smith to celebrate and cherish love in all its forms.

Tom dresses up to accentuate and celebrate his femininity. This allows him to bring the audience with him as the songs are mostly lyric-based narratives and/or character based explorations from marginalised or eccentric viewpoints.

In Brisbane, The Songs of Tom Smith are incredibly lucky to have a large pool of singers and players who all have varying levels of commitment. When the Songs go interstate they also have connections in those cities who can form pick up bands. In the spirit of The You Do It I Can't Be Bothered project
singers and musicians interpret the songs in many different ways.
