Roar - I am dressed as a boxer with a boxing cape on and gloves. My hair is braided and I'm standing to the side, holding a mouthguard to my mouth in front of a spotlight. The image has a red and pink wash over it.

“The respect she earns from her audience is proof enough that she is a gifted comedian and a captivating raconteur and audiences should not delay in seeking out what she has to say” Theatre Haus 2022.

Lisa Sharpe is making a name for herself as a masterful storyteller and this time you’re gonna hear her ‘Roar’. The gloves are off as she makes you laugh, cry and laugh again while she ducks and weaves through the biggest fight of her life, to figure out what keeps us getting up off the mat and who is really in our corner.

Please note: This event has had a venue change from Cafe Komodo to Prompt Creative Centre since the Adelaide Fringe Guide was printed.

Presented by: Lisa Sharpe

Lisa Sharpe began stand-up comedy at 48 years old and found the perfect platform for her voice and writing skills. She quickly became well known in Northern NSW for her hilarious anecdotal comedic storytelling and has supported well known comedians and has been the headline performer at a number of successful sell-out events. She became a QLD Raw Comedy state finalist from her second time on stage and made the finals again, a year later. She moved to Melbourne two years ago and has established herself with her acclaimed MICF solo debut, Drown ’Em Out, which captivated audiences with its honest and gritty humour. Lisa’s delivery is warm, charming and surprising. Her stories will twist, turn and weave their way into your heart.
