River Fringe Family Fun
Come join us at the Loxton Historical Village for a fun day for the whole family. The River Fringe Family Fun Day will include entertainment, interactive art, dance, and circus sessions, face-painting, demonstrations and other fun activities.
We will have a special reduced entry price into the Village and all the activities are free. There will be free workshops, activites and more!
The Loxton Historical Village showcases the life of our early pioneers with over 45 exhibits and buildings from 1890s to 1950s. Check out our Tractor Shed, wooden horse-drawn vehicles, blacksmith, printer, general store, cottage, Nissan Hut, garage, saddlery and Institute Hall. Sit at our old desks and try writing in Cursive, and see wonderful displays of schoolwork. Climb aboard our steam engine, and try hopscotch, marbles, horse shoe toss and knucklebones. Great memories.

Loxton Historical Village offers visitors of all ages the chance to step back in time & experience life from our pioneer times in the 1890s to 1960. 45 exhibits & buildings each featuring artifacts, machinery, farm equipment, books & other items of interest from an era past. Sit at an old desk in our school room & have a go at writing cursive. See how shopping used to be done in our General Store. Home life is showcased in our cottage & pioneer pug & pine hut. Our Institute Hall offers space for entertainment & dining. Our beautiful picnic area offers a lovely picnic spot. Try your hand at horse-shoe toss, knuckle bones, marbles & hula hoops. The entry shop has an array of souvenirs, many locally made, & a selection of ice-creams and drinks. Pet Friendly, wheelchair accessible.
The Loxton Historical Village is wheelchair accessible and pet friendly. Our historic displays will be enjoyed by all ages, and the River Fringe Fun Day will have amazing interactive szactivities and entertainment.
