Pre PC: Songs Before a Time of Political Correctness

Cabaret • Music
South Australia
Before the advent of political correctness, there was a time when people just said it like it was.

In 'Pre PC - Songs Before a Time of Political Correctness', Jay Power and trio perform swingin' songs that kept it real in Granny's day.

Hits such as 'Keep Young and Beautiful if You Want To Be Loved', toe tapper 'Big Fat Mamas are back in style', the Sarah Vaughan ode to housewifedom 'I Wanna do Homework', and the romantic heart-jerker 'I want a bow-legged woman' hark back to an era where jazz, boogie-woogie and raunchy blues told the story of our lives without bobby-soxing around.

So put your glad rags on, get out in that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans, and get ready for a swingin' session without the PC!
