Scaled orpheus holder two
Dave is single, stood with his mates at the bar, and is turning 30 next week.
Eurydice is a mythical dryad - a tree nymph.

This is a tale of impossible, death defying love; a tale of this world and the underworld; a tale of soul music and late night karaoke. Told through spoken word and soaring live music, The Flanagan Collective weave a world full of dive bars and side streets and ancient gods.

International award winning company behind FABLE (★★★★★ ClothesLine) and BABYLON (★★★★★ GreatScott) return to Adelaide with a new, modern telling of Orpheus & The Underworld.

The Flanagan Collective is an international award-winning cross-genre arts collective based in North Yorkshire, UK.
Since 2011 The Flanagan Collective has been creating new opportunities for performers to test new work, form collaborations and embrace new models of theatre-making.

They perform our work locally, nationally and internationally. They aim to challenge traditional models of what theatre can be, how it is made and where it happens.

Joanne Hartstone has participated in 12 Adelaide Fringes, 7 Edinburgh Fringes, 1 Melbourne Fringe and 1 Hollywood Fringe. She is presenting 8 shows in 2018 Adelaide Fringe and is Artistic Director of the Noel Lothian Hall in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.

Venue

Adelaide Botanic Garden

An idyllic and peaceful black box theatre, an outdoor rose garden bar by Blanco, and views of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens lake and the Conservatory. With ample parking on Hackney road (next to the Wine Centre), the Noel Lothian Hall is not your typical fringe venue. Home to a season of theatrical events, curated by Artistic Director Joanne Hartstone (The Bunker Trilogy, My Name Is Saoirse, The Girl Who Jumped Off The Hollywood Sign) and run by South Australian Artists. The Noel Lothian Hall is a blank canvas for theatre performers (a bricks and mortar building with modern technical capabilities, silence and blackout!) and a gorgeous retreat for patrons from the busy bustle of the fringe.
