Ondara
Nominated for a Grammy in the Americana category Kenyan/American singer songwriter Ondara comes to Adelaide for the first time. Sold out European performances and headlining U.S. tour, Ondara’s voice is a beautiful and powerfully evocative instrument. His new album Spanish Villager is something different that should be heard and discussed. Special guest Sasha March.
Migrating to Minneapolis he began making his way in the local music scene, continually writing songs about what he saw, felt and experienced in a place far different from home. His albums have been met with critical acclaim, showcasing his poetic storytelling and soulful, distinctive vocals. His music is both intimate and universal and often explores themes of identity and belonging, drawing on his own heartfelt experiences as an immigrant.
