Nikola and I

Theatre and Physical Theatre • Performance Art
Meet Nik, Ola and “I”. They’re in a sort of shamanic Dramedy… Like this absurd existential crisis... that makes sense…right?

Following his successful 2017-18 tour of Adelaide, Edinburgh, Melbourne and Perth, David Geddes presents his intelligent, weird and heart-felt show, Nikola and I, for this year’s Adelaide Fringe. A shaman rips the fabric of space and time and takes us into ‘inner space’. “I” Is caught somewhere in between the past experiments of Nikola Tesla (Nik) and a psychedelic spirit guide (Ola) your queer Trans Dimensional Travel agent. Bumbling his way through moving out of home, earning a living and compromising his dreams he feels deeply conflicted when he discovers the altruistic actions of Nikola Tesla contrasted with an egoistic modern world. Unsettled by this, ‘I’ struggles to understand what the frac consciousness, quantum physics, psychedelics and spirituality have to do with it all. However, profound insights seem not so useful when the hard reality finally kicks in…but which reality is that, exactly?

Inspired by Nikola Tesla’s dreams and world changing contributions to humanity & the Shamanic Journey within. Come for a laugh, stay for a thought but leave filled to the utter brim with Love, Light and Questions!
