With about 50,000 hours of his life spent on checking stoves & completing tasks 3 times, while spinning in circles and involuntarily going 'arghhh' and 'eeeehhh', Damon Smith, along with his nervous cohort, Adam Coad, will take you on a journey through an obsessive and compulsive mind with hilarious onstage buffoonery & songs pertaining to anxiety.

From the co-creator of the critically acclaimed Fringe favourite, Sun Rising-The Songs That Made Memphis, Mental As Everything brings mental health and music together with thought provoking and zany original compositions performed by two anxious individuals who are acutely aware that standing in front of an audience to sing and talk openly about their mental shortcomings may be horrific...but they'll do it anyway!

As a musician and songwriter, Damon invites you to pull up a seat next to him at the bar. There’s a sense of intimacy, a hint of sass, and more than a hint of the real man behind his songs. Smith is an independent artist in the literal. He’s the man in the drivers seat, from composition to production. With a desire for moving through many forms of creative manipulation, Damon is known to some as a songwriter, a videographer, Lyricist, Producer, Singer, Performer, teacher and apparently…a lovely guy! He co-wrote the critically acclaimed and publicly appreciated cabaret show, SUN RISING, (that continues to sell out around Australia).
