Laura Rose BUSHPIG - Farming girl wearing a cowboy hat holding a pineapple

Laura Rose BUSHPIG

Comedy • Stand-up
South Australia • World Premiere

This debut solo show, is an autobiographic comedic feast. Following stories from growing up on a Queensland pineapple farm, misadventures abroad, Laura’s crazy blended family, and the forever loving husband. Sweet in appearance but dark in humor, Laura is a classic don't judge a book by its cover comic. It’s high energy and very physically animated, offering the audience a glimpse into her colorful life and an opportunity to enjoy the mayhem which is undoubtedly Laura’s attempt at avoiding therapy.

Presented by: Laura Rose

Don’t let her sweet appearance fool you, Laura is a rough-as-guts female comic, with a passion for dark humor. Starting comedy after a post covid life crisis, she was a SA RAW comedy Finalist for 2021. In 2022 she performed at Adelaide Fringe in Gluttony, featuring on numerous showcases including the successful all women comedy show ‘No Man’s Land’. Rated 4.5 stars by SeeDoEat Review, “Laura Rose - An animated cartoon character come to life, Laura’s facial expressions and laugh-out-loud actions were hilarious. This is a woman who looked really comfortable on stage, and it came out in her comedy”.
