Karen's Songs

Well, folks, I was going to bring you a smidgen of my Tribute to Kirsty MacColl show and I approached the holders of the copyright for the 5 songs I intended to include (me singing my covers of those songs) for their permission (i.e. for them to sell me licences!) – to offer you my covers on video for FringeVIEW I need to have these licences in place. I answered all their questions and was told they’d get back to me. I’m still waiting.
So … instead I’m going to give you some of my originals, together with the story behind the writing of them! A mixture of chat and music, performed for video but effectively as a live performance – no multiple re-takes, no massive studio engineering. This is me, performing for you – I hope you enjoy it!
