Janet's Vagrant Love

Cabaret • Comedy
South Australia
A story of love, heartbreak & raising blak men. Come on a journey and listen to Elaine present an original score of lyrically soulful acoustic songs and hear stories of talking to friends for hours on a house phone after school, to dealing with adult situations & empty gestures of love being forced upon her. Childhood gone and adult life is all that's left.

Elaine sings for her mother's sacred ground and asks the question: "will we ever see justice for our people, the original people of this land?"

"...Julia Zemiro posed these perennial chestnuts, 'Do the Arts Matter?' and 'Can the Arts Change Lives?' The resounding answer is yes, and Elaine Crombie’s cabaret performance of Janet’s Vagrant Love is the sort of show that does matter and can change lives." - Hifiway.live review by Bob Becker.
