If fabrics could speak... Artist in Residence Ngutungka

Artist Catherine Fitz-Gerald, continues the Adelaide Fringe 2024 Visual Art and Design Award-winning community art project at Ngutungka West Lakes as Artist in Residence, proudly supported by the City of Charles Sturt.

Have you ever wondered If fabrics could speak, what stories would they tell? Stories of family, making or culture?

Do you have a treasured fabric that holds special memories?

Come and share your fabric’s story in our free one-on-one creative sessions. I will record your story and photograph your fabric to show in an evolving audio-described exhibition. We will celebrate our creative community together.

I’ll be on-site painting, photographing and chatting. See a creative process become an accessible exhibition in real-time.

Come anytime to view the exhibition or book free creative sessions at www.catherinefitz-gerald.com

Ngutungka West Lakes is a community space open daily. Free parking, cafe on site, wheelchair accessible. Artist on site Wed-Sat 10-3pm for casual conversation about the project. Free individual creative sessions can be booked with the artist.
