Bruce Fummey is the Scottish born son of a Scottish mother and Ghanaiain father. As well as comedy club stand-up he has a reputation for bringing Scottish history to life with his informative and hilariously funny Fringe shows. ‘A combination of smut and education’ is how Bruce describes his style.
Bruce was named Scottish Comedian of the Year in 2014. He was nominated for Scottish Comedy Awards in 2013 and 2014 and Perth FRINGEWORLD comedy awards in 2015 and 2017.
He has written and performed for BBC TV and radio in the UK and entertained at home and abroad, performing 12 runs over 13 years at the Edinburgh Fringe, including sold out shows and five star reviews. In addition he has performed at shows worldwide and Fringe festivals in Perth WA, Adelaide and Dunedin.
