The Cabbages & Kings Collective are a home-grown SA theatre collective dedicated to producing bold contemporary text-based theatre with local and national artists. It is a platform for collaboration with new arts graduates and emerging artists and seeks to foster a more permanent arts culture in SA for these. Our core team are from various artistic backgrounds which ensures diversity and innovation in the works we create. We are interested in work that challenges what theatre can say and do about the world tomorrow.
This is our third Adelaide Fringe. In 2018, our production of Duncan Graham’s ‘one long night in the land of nod’ won the Weekly Best Theatre Award and enjoyed success at the Stirling Fringe. In 2017, our premiere season of Neil Porter’s ‘Blink’ was award-nominated.

About this event
Their parent's Tarago. A pristine lake. Six young friends reunite on a camping trip to the 'untouched' outback of Western Australia. Old jokes, rivalries and attractions are rekindled. They don't have a care in the world... until they unintentionally violate sacred land and an Indigenous man is murdered.
A play about identity, tribalism, privilege, and cultural division in 'modernised', 'carefree' colonial Australia.
Written by Chris Isaacs ('Fag/Stag', 'All That Glitters', 'Falling Through Clouds') and winner of PAWA Best New Play.
A controversial new production by 2018 Best Theatre Award Winners: The Cabbages & Kings Collective (for 'One long night in the Land of Nod' by Duncan Graham).
