Dusty Feet Mob

From the sand hills of Port Augusta to the bustling streets of Adelaide, Dusty Feet Mob's young Aboriginal performers, aged between six and thirty-one years, dance their way into the hearts and minds of their enraptured audiences, using the power of song and dance to tell stories of the Stolen Generation and help heal the pain of the past. Dusty Feet Mob are more than just an Aboriginal dance group. They are a community that nurtures strength, confidence and dignity. They are a community that builds connection to culture, community and country. A joyous and touching celebration of Aboriginal culture that allows both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to grow in acceptance, understanding and empathy together. Winner of Weekly Best Dance Award at Adelaide Fringe 2023 and 2024

Presented by: Dusty Feet Mob and Lewis Major

Dusty Feet Mob is an Aboriginal dance group from Port Augusta, South Australia aged between six and thirty-one years. Dusty Feet Mob are more than just a dance group. They are a community that nurtures strength, confidence and dignity. Dusty Feet Mob know that storytelling through dance and song is a powerful way of celebrating Aboriginal identity, culture and connection to country. While at the same time their performance is a way of entering into past hurts and injustices experienced by Aboriginal families in a way that allows both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to grow in acceptance, understanding and empathy together. A significant part of this is focused on the promotion of healing and awareness of both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities together.
