Sharing culture, healing the spirit, connect to Country - Join Senior Elders Major Moogy Sumner and Aunty Ellen Trevorrow and other First Nation Artists for a day of cultural workshops and an evening of story telling and dance under the stars on Ngarrindjeri Lands along the beautiful shores of the Kurrangk (Coorong). 

Listen, join in and learn and camp together on Country. Participate in cultural workshops across the day led by First Nations artists - including: basket weaving, carving, and dance. Walk on Country and come together for a special sunset smoking ceremony. Sit back and enjoy an intimate evening of storytelling and dance under the stars. Major "Moogy" Sumner is a world renowned performer and cultural ambassador of Ngarrindjeri arts, crafts, martial arts and traditional culture. He wants to show to the Australian people that Aboriginal culture is about sharing and working together for the benefit of the whole community and for Country. Tal-Kin-Jeri Dance Group was founded in 1997 by Major Sumner and Loretta Sumner to showcase Aboriginal dance, stories, music, art, language and culture.

People are welcome to camp - BYO equipment, drinking water, food etc. Gas burners only - no fires are permitted outside camp kitchen and ceremony fire. This is a dry camp - no alcohol or drugs No pets (except support animals).
