Dancing Monsters Community Parade
Bored of being human? Come and try being something else in a parade!
This annual parade is open to all community, and express creative connection with the non-human world: places, animals, trees, or just someone random from your imagination!
No need to overthink it - just mask your face and/or adorn yourself for the parade.
Musicians and spectators are also welcome!
We will parade along the Yerta Bulti Port Adelaide River, celebrating the beautiful river and all it’s inhabitants.

Dancing Monsters work with themes of connection/protection, with an emphasis on the joyful, the strange and the festive. We explore the means by which humans can extend into non-human forms, playfully subverting anthropocentric ways of being, to imagine and identify with places and their other inhabitants. Dancing Monsters is a community oriented practice, and open to everyone.

Port Loch & Quay at Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre
Port Loch and Quay, 66 Commercial Rd, Port Adelaide, Kaurna
The entrance to the courtyard venue, Port Loch & Quay, is down the laneway to the side of the Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre. The laneway is called Iparrityi, Princess Amelia Lane. The square adjacent to Port Loch & Quay venue is Tangkaira, Queen Charlotte Square, which can also be utilised as a part of the venue.
