Dance and Poetry

Theatre and Physical Theatre • Dance
South Australia • Adelaide Fringe Premiere

Breaking down language barriers, dance is poetry written with the body. Dance, using the lines of the body to outline the description of emotion. Poetry, with the most concise words, express the deepest feelings. When we combine the two together, the artistic effect is beyond imagination. This time, we selected and translated poems from ancient China, combined with Chinese classical dance, to present this ancient and mysterious culture on the stage with the effect of visual feast. This creation and performance are all completed by the local Chinese community in South Australia.
