CANCELLED - Oranges and Lennons
John Lennon was an amazing songwriter & musician, in fact he was a genius. His Beatle collaborations & solo work still reverberate around the world some forty three years after his death. His songs & life form part of the landscape to many of our lives, even now. Gary Burrows learned that he was a cousin to this amazing man when his grandmother, who was born in Liverpool, saw the Beatles on TV here in Adelaide in the early sixties. Gary thought that she had probably been mistaken but visits to Liverpool by Gary, an Ancestry search & a DNA sample proved, that in fact, she was correct. A meeting, with a friend, Ritchie Yorke, who spent a number of years as John and Yoko's peace envoy, convinced Gary to pay tribute to John & his music. Gary & the band ORANGES AND LENNONS does just that.
