Blink

Theatre and Physical Theatre • Contemporary

This is the tale of Jonah and Sophie. It's a true story, and it's a love story. Well, they say it's a love story. A dysfunctional, voyeuristic and weirdly humorous love story, but a love story all the same.

Through the Wi-Fi connected screens of a baby monitor, their love affair over two floors of the same flat is about to unravel.

By English playwright Phil Porter and developed for London's Soho Theatre in 2011, 'Blink' captures the struggle between fantasy and reality in the isolated world of modern love. A darkly funny and deeply moving series of events ensues as the two realise there is more to relationships than a penchant for soapies and an internet connection. Isn't there?
