In this dance theatre work, five millennials explore the meaning of beauty as
Aboriginal women when they return to country and community and gain
insight into their identity and spiritual connection to land. Their
journey of discovery - involving distressing historical truths, pride and
empowerment - offers an intimate reflection on kinship and cultural
belonging expressed through individual perspectives.

Of Desert and Sea is an emerging Aboriginal Contemporary Cultural Dance company. Made up of young women, they represent over 6 language groups from across South Australia. Of Desert and Sea use traditional cultural elements to inform their contemporary practice, and use dance as a way of connecting with their culture.
