A ceramic artist and a world-class acrobat collide on stage in a mesmerising collaborative performance alongside a diverse soundtrack from South Australian musicians.
An art gallery experience like no other where circus performers juggle and manoeuvre acrobatics around fragile ceramic sculptures. Up-and-coming creative Sam Matthewman and talented circus performer Emily Loe bring their most innovative work back to Adelaide Fringe fresh from an international tour.

Sam Matthewman, an Australian contemporary artist, explores the convergence of art and performance. Raised in Adelaide, their passion for performing and sculpting began at a young age.
After earning a Bachelor of Contemporary Art in 2021, Matthewman continues their education with mentors and courses. They also embarked on international residencies at the British School in Rome, shaping their multidisciplinary practice, which includes ceramics, cotton rope, installations, and filmed circus.

Their work delves into the intricate relationship between the body and materials. Matthewman is known for creating immersive installations that encourage tactile engagement. Their performances blend circus and physical theatre, drawing from acrobatics and clowning for expressive movements.
