Arthur Hardy - The Forgotten Hero of the Hills
Sent to Adelaide in 1839 by his parents to hopefully survive tuberculosis, Arthur Hardy, creator of Mount Lofty House, was a part of the glue that held Adelaide and new colony together across its first 50 years. But it wasn’t all beer and skittles, especially when the town turned on him. Hardy now returns to his beloved Hills in the first time in over 110 years for this film recreation of Peter Maddern’s play. David Cronin is Hardy along with Christian Bartlett as his grandson, Frederick. Tom Goodall and Tim Hodgson and directing.
