Maryellen is a RAY OF SUNSHINE ...and she’s falling asleep.

Stand-up comedy, storytelling, feminist, LGBTQI+, ADHD, invisible illness. With an impending narcolepsy diagnosis and an overly ambitious outlook on life, this show is about dreams ... literal and metaphorical. When others look up at the night time sky they are humbled and comforted by how insignificant they are. Not Maryellen. Maryellen wants her life to mean something. Queer, quirky, driven by empathy and empowering others. Throughout this 60 minute piece, Maryellen weaves anecdotes together in her signature high octane style, with characters, physical comedy, and surprises.

Presented by: Maryellen George

Maryellen is a comedian and fitness instructor, so she’s professionally hot AND funny. Maryellen produces Bits & Pieces Comedy, a platform for women and underrepresented comedians in Melbourne. Despite her oh-so-serious obsession with feminism and equality she’s also a hilarious ray of sunshine! Become an OG ME fan before she gets big. Is that cocky? Yes you can be cocky without one ;)
