An Evening with Joseph Keckler (NYC, USA)
Joseph Keckler possesses a magnetic stage presence, strange mind, and a powerful and expressive voice.
Operating in a mode of his own, somewhere between opera, art, and rock and roll, Keckler has been praised by the New York Times as a "major talent who shatters conventional boundaries."
He first toured Australia in March 2024 as part of a double bill with No Wave New York icon, Lydia Lunch winning over audiences with his extraordinary voice, haunting ballads, captivating stories, spooky grooves, and ambiguously autobiographical arias about having sex with ghosts, overdosing on hallucinogens and the like.
Having performed at Adelaide Fringe for the first time in 2024, Joseph returns to Australia to perform a new selection of songs as well as some favourites from his previous tour.
This show has a high level of visual content as well as audio. Important to arrive early to get the best seat possible.
